1. Overview

LostJobs.AI ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

  • Registration data (name, email, avatar) provided by your chosen OAuth provider — Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, or Facebook.
  • CV content you upload or paste for career analysis.
  • Analysis history (the generated analysis text + advice, tied to your account).
  • Payment metadata via Stripe (we never see or store your card number).
  • Usage logs (browser type, IP, timestamps) for security and debugging.
  • Cookies and localStorage for session and language preferences.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Delivering, maintaining, and improving the Service.
  • Personalizing your experience (language preference, credit balance).
  • Processing payments and issuing credits via Stripe.
  • Responding to support requests.
  • Meeting legal and regulatory requirements.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with unrelated third parties for commercial purposes.

4. AI Processing

  • Your CV text is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) for analysis. These providers are bound by commercial data-processing agreements and do not train on your data.
  • CV text is sent to generate the analysis and discarded from our Edge Function runtime after the response is returned. We store the generated analysis/advice (not the raw CV content) unless you explicitly save a CV file to your account.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) and Cloudflare R2 (images).
  • We use industry-standard security measures including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and row-level security on user data.
  • CV file uploads are kept only in your private Supabase Storage folder, accessible only to you.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

  • We share data with vetted processors (Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI) only to deliver the Service, under contractual confidentiality.
  • We may disclose data if required by law or valid legal process.
  • We never sell your data.

7. Cookies and Tracking

  • We use cookies / localStorage for authentication session and language preference.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
  • You can clear cookies via your browser, but doing so will log you out.

8. Your Rights

  • Access / download: You can view your analysis history at any time in your account.
  • Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting support.
  • Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account (where not required by law).

9. Data Retention

  • Free analyses are automatically hidden 24 hours after creation ("soft-deleted"); full deletion occurs via periodic cleanup.
  • Paid analysis records are retained as long as your account is active.
  • After account deletion, all personal data is purged within 30 days except where required by law (e.g. billing records).

10. Children

The Service is not directed to users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us for immediate removal.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Service.
