Omdia ranked AgiBot #1 worldwide for 2025 humanoid shipments at 5,168 units — roughly 39% of a ~13,300-unit global market, ahead of Unitree (4,200) and UBTech (1,000). Cumulative production passed 1,000 units in Jan 2025, 5,000 in Dec 2025, 10,000 in Mar 2026 and 15,000 by 28 Jun 2026. The A2 line has been on open sale in China through JD.com and AgiBot's own mall since 18 Aug 2025, with A2 Lite and X2 listed in stock on the official global store. Largest disclosed order: a framework deal with Longcheer Technology worth several hundred million RMB for roughly 1,000 G2 units; at Longcheer's Nanchang tablet line the robots were integrated in 36 hours and run 64+ hours continuously at under 4% downtime. Backed by Tencent, HongShan, Hillhouse, BYD, JD.com, SAIC, LG Electronics; began the Hong Kong IPO process in July 2026.
When this hits the labor market
1-3 years, and the shortest clock in the catalog. This is not a company waiting for its technology to mature — it already shipped more humanoids in 2025 than anyone else on earth and is producing at a run-rate of roughly 5,000 units per half-year. The jobs at risk first are the ones AgiBot already sells into: eight named commercial domains covering electronics assembly, logistics sorting, security patrol, commercial cleaning, and reception. What compresses the timeline further is price. At RMB 168,000 for the entry trim and RMB 500/day to rent, the buy-versus-hire arithmetic in a Chinese factory town no longer needs a spreadsheet.

The company that actually shipped the most humanoids
Everyone in humanoid robotics has a number. AgiBot has an audited-adjacent one: 5,168 units shipped in 2025, per Omdia’s January 2026 market count — about 39% of a global market of roughly 13,300 machines, ahead of Unitree’s 4,200 and UBTech’s 1,000. In a field where “mass production” usually means a press release, AgiBot is the company whose cumulative-units counter is the most boring thing about it: 1,000 in January 2025, 5,000 that December, 10,000 in March 2026, 15,000 by the end of June.
The flagship is the A2 Ultra, part of the Yuanzheng (远征) A2 line. It stands 169 cm, weighs about 69 kg, and carries 40 degrees of freedom — seven per arm, six per leg, two in the neck, plus a six-DOF dexterous hand on each side. Peak knee torque is 270 N·m. Walking speed was 0.8 m/s at launch and went to 1.2 m/s in the V1.3 firmware update of December 2025, which is a detail worth pausing on: this is a product that ships software updates to fielded units, not a demo that gets rebuilt for each trade show. Single-arm payload is a modest 2 kg. Endurance is 3 hours standing, 1.5+ hours walking, on a 14.4 Ah pack. Compute is a Jetson Orin 64GB.
The company was founded in February 2023 in Shanghai by Deng Taihua and Peng Zhihui — the latter better known online as 稚晖君, a former Huawei “Genius Youth” hire. The cap table reads like a who’s who of Chinese tech plus two foreign names: Tencent, HongShan, Hillhouse, BYD, JD.com, SAIC, BAIC, TCL, and — in AgiBot’s first global embodied-AI round — LG Electronics and Mirae Asset. In July 2026 the company formally began a Hong Kong IPO process with CITIC, CICC and Morgan Stanley as sponsors.
GO-1, and what open weights actually mean here
The AI side is unusually public. GO-1 (Genie Operator-1) is AgiBot’s generalist embodied foundation model, a hierarchical Vision-Language-Latent-Action architecture with a 24-layer latent planner and a diffusion action expert. The underlying paper, AgiBot World Colosseo, was an IROS 2025 Best Paper finalist. The AgiBot World dataset — over a million real robot trajectories across 217 tasks at 30 Hz, roughly 44 TB — is downloadable, and GO-1’s 3B-parameter weights went up on Hugging Face in September 2025.
Read the license before drawing conclusions: CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, non-commercial only. This is not Meta handing out Llama. It is a company seeding the academic and hobbyist ecosystem on its own data format while keeping the commercial door locked — which, for a company about to list in Hong Kong, is the more defensible move anyway.
The price question, and why we won’t quote one
AgiBot’s global store lists A2 Ultra at “$999,999.” That is a Shopify placeholder standing in for contact sales, and we won’t publish it as a price. What is real: at the 18 August 2025 China launch the full range ran from RMB 14,800 to RMB 450,000, with the flagship trim at the top of that band — roughly US$63,000. The A2 Lite (远征A2青春版) sells at RMB 168,000 in China but US$44,560 on the official global store, a 1.9x export premium that no one has explained. Since December 2025 there has also been a rental path: AgiBot’s own leasing platform starts at RMB 500/day domestically, and international rental runs from about US$1,000/day across 17 countries.
Why we care for LostJobs
Most humanoid coverage is a bet on the future. AgiBot is a present-tense fact. Fifteen thousand machines exist, they are sold through JD.com like a refrigerator, and the eight application domains AgiBot names — reception, entertainment, manufacturing, logistics sorting, security patrol, commercial cleaning, data collection, education — map one-to-one onto entry-level service and light-industrial work.
The Longcheer deployment is the number to sit with. A quality-inspection line integrated in 36 hours; 3,000 units inspected per shift; 64 hours of continuous running at under 4% downtime. That is not a capability demo, it is a shift roster. And the thing that gets a robot onto a shift roster is not dexterity — it is uptime and unit cost, both of which AgiBot has been driving in the right direction for two years straight. If your work is repetitive, standing, and inside a building with flat floors, this is the machine to watch, and the clock is measured in quarters rather than decades.
A note on what we did not publish: the A3 Ultra unveiled at WAIC in July 2026 (1.74 m, 51 active DOF, 5 kg per arm, NVIDIA Thor) is announcement-only — no ship date, no price. Under our no-vaporware rule it stays out of the catalog until someone can buy one.
