BMW Cuts a Fifth of Management by Mid-2027 and Names Agentic AI

On September 30 BMW Group said it will cut divisions and associated management roles by 20% by mid-2027, with comparable reductions below, and tied the leaner structure to agentic AI. The release gives no headcount; the 8,000-job figure dates from July.
