CyberSN's cybersecurity jobs report, covered by SecurityWeek on October 18, counts 235,786 US postings for January to September 2026, down 26.4% from 320,210 a year earlier and the lowest in four years. AI mentions reached 20.0% of postings in September; AI Security Engineer postings rose 268.3%.

KPMG's October 15 CEO Outlook, with 400 US CEOs among 1,300-plus surveyed, has 89% expecting headcount to rise over three years and 53% planning reductions in some areas over two to five. Three in four say AI has made them rethink entry-level skills, and 81% expect AI costs to reshape margins more than labor costs.

UPS said on October 7 it will hire more than 100,000 seasonal workers, about 9% fewer than last year and 20% fewer than in 2024. The release lists automated sites in four cities but gives no reason for the lower number.

On September 15 Adecco said it is putting Salesforce's Agentforce Coworker in front of 27,000 employees. Buried further down: agentic AI is already live in recruitment workflows in 10 countries carrying 50% of Adecco business revenues.

CBRE published the 13th Scoring Tech Talent on August 18 and the finding traveled on August 21. The headline gave New York 394,300 workers against the Bay Area's 375,730. For anyone currently employed, the load-bearing figures are 31% and 60%.

JD released its robot strategy at the World Robot Conference on August 19: 10B yuan-scale investment through 2028, an after-sales network across 100-plus countries, 80 RoboBase sites, and a pledge of more than 100,000 new robot service engineer roles.
