UKG Just Laid Off 950 People While Describing Itself as an 「AI-First Company」. It Sells HR Software. Think About That For a Second.

UKG — the $3.4B ARR HR and workforce-management vendor whose product exists to help other companies manage, schedule, and lay off their employees — emailed 950 of its own workers on April 15 to tell them they were being cut as part of an 'AI-first' transformation. It is the second time in 18 months UKG has done this.
