#warehouse-automation · How Robots Are Reshaping Work

Agility Robotics unveiled Digit 5 on September 15. The new legs lift 50 lb repeatedly, a band Jonathan Hurst says covers single-person lift tasks in OSHA-regulated facilities, and the robot no longer needs a physical barrier to work near people.

Maven Robotics came out of stealth on September 10 with $100M and a plan to build 250 third-generation machines. The station it takes over is the most labor-dense job in a retail distribution center: breaking inbound pallets apart and rebuilding them to each store's order.

Agility Robotics filed its S-4 on September 7, disclosing $1.8M in 2025 net sales and a $140M operating loss. The same document lists Digit v5 at about $8,500 a month.

Locus AMRs have assisted more than 6 billion picks. On August 28, the company's grasping lead drew the boundary: suction covers 60% to 70%, the remaining 30% to 40% needs pinch and touch, and touch is something 「simulated data is not going to help with very much」.

Agility is opening a Fremont hub and hiring ~200 people to train Digit — the same humanoid it places in warehouses — while going public at a $2.5B valuation.

Robot.com's new R-noid humanoid targets high-turnover jobs — quick-service kitchens, warehouse picking, hotel laundry — rented by the shift, and unlike the workers it replaces, it never resigns.

Chinese humanoids are posting real productivity numbers on factory and logistics floors, and the gap to human workers is narrowing fast.

Ambi Robotics and Pickle Robot integrated their systems to fully automate warehouse receiving, from trailer unloading through palletizing, with no human handoff.

Agility Robotics will go public through a $2.5B SPAC merger with Churchill Capital XI, listing on Nasdaq as AGLT.

Agility Robotics will list on Nasdaq via a $2.5 billion SPAC merger, the first US pure-play humanoid maker to go public — its Digit robots already log 65,000 hours in real warehouses.

Agility Robotics will merge with Churchill Capital Corp XI at a $2.5B valuation, becoming the first U.S.-listed pure-play humanoid company with paying customers.

RBR50 named Amazon Vulcan its 2026 Robot of the Year at the Boston Robotics Summit on May 28. The touch-sensing stowing arm now handles 75% of warehouse items across two sites, 500K+ orders processed.
